Believe!
I had begun to doubt the day would come when I published this image. It is very much a composite that was plagued along the way by many instances of “oh! it would have been easier if I just….” So, when the opportunity came to create a profile image for Pattie and her new head, it was a welcome break. Believe!
Pattie – YFMB
Since returning to SL, Pattie has been appreciating the details that mesh introduced to SL in her absence. Not yet ready to take the plunge into a full featured and detailed mesh body or head, she did come across the “Your First Mesh Body” offering which comes at the very tempting price of ….FREE.
Friends
Friends – we often take them for granted or forget what they contribute to any particular moment. I am guilty of that. For some time now I have enjoyed the solitude of borrowing images from SL and then bringing them home to caress the lines and shadows for hours…even days…until I feel they’re acceptable to show to anybody else.
Lonely Sunset
Recent events in US politics and the second of a more personal nature put me in a state of mind that I have been avoiding for the most part. I started a PS project unrelated to SL and as of yet unfinished. Rather than jump back to it this morning I went for a virtual walk to Hazardous Inc which I had first visited two days ago and determined to return.
Splish Splash
The Kindred Spirits sim has so many opportunities for photographs that Noel soon found herself unable to resist the temptation to enjoy the bath she stumbled across. OK…so she did resist. Rather than jump into the bath right there, this image is a composite of the bath,
First Step
I’ve seen many beautiful images created at the Kindred Spirits sim recently so, having a day off, I decided to send Noel to investigate. She came back with many images and I expect several will be making appearances in the coming week or so but this was the one that captivated her the most.
Robert
The ‘official’ introduction of Robert along with a tune to fit his character….in part.
This ended up being a fun image. As mentioned in an earlier post about Robert’s skin, I had to fix the embedded highlights first. It was initially a challenge until I figured out that both layers generated using frequency separation had to be cleaned up. It wasn’t simply a matter of fixing the color on the low freq layer but there was also texture in the high frequency layer that was affecting the visible color in it’s own way.
One in a Billion
Being a fan of so many things Eastern for the last several years a post on the Secondlife Blog about a display taking Chinese Ink Drawings to the virtual world immediately caught my eye. It seemed like a perfect place for Kyashi to visit so I sent her on her way with no time to change her clothes.
What she saw was truly beautiful and she brought back several images of which I’m certain one or two will be used as a background in the future.
I Chose You
Meet Max. Max is my first attempt to grant my RL Maine Coon a tenth life, be it in SecondLife. This image was actually the logical conclusion to several areas of Photoshop that I’ve been concentrating on lately: hair and skin. You might ask “skin?” and no, it’s not obvious. In addition to that was the feeling that I needed to create something that I could also post to flickr since it’s been a few weeks.
